Visita Educativa al Observatorio de Arecibo - Mayo 5, 2017 - Educational Visit to the Arecibo Observatory - May 5, 2017


El día 5 de mayo del 2017, los estudiantes de primero y segundo grado de la escuela elemental Cipriano Manrique de Caguas, Puerto Rico pudieron disfrutar de una visita educativa al Observatorio de Arecibo acompañado por nuestro recurso y Solar System Ambassador - NASA/JPL Fernando Roquel Torres.

On May 5, 2017, first and second grade students from Cipriano Manrique Elementary School in Caguas, Puerto Rico were able to enjoy an educational visit to the Arecibo Observatory accompanied by our resource and Solar System Ambassador - NASA / JPL Fernando Roquel Torres.

Nuestro embajador del sistema solar estuvo como guiá ilustrando todo lo referente a los meteoritos del lugar en conjunto con la profesora Erica Correa Félix

Our Solar System Ambassador was as a guide illustrating everything concerning the meteorites of the place together with the teacher Erica Correa Félix




También se explicó como funciona el Radiotelescopio cual no utiliza luz visible, sino ondas de radio y radar para sus investigaciones

It also explained how the Radiotelescope works which does not use visible light, but radio and radar waves for its investigations


Con la maravillosa vista del domo gregoriano del Radiotelescopio, nuestro Solar System Ambassador estuvo explicandole a los estudiantes la importancia que tiene este Observatorio ya que es nuestra defensa para investigar peligrosos asteroides cuales amenazan a la Tierra. En esta ilustración vemos como se esta demostrando una serie de fotos capturados por este radiotelescopio. El asteroide 2014 JO25 demostrado y explicado en un lenguaje facil y entretenido a los estudiantes.

With the wonderful view of the Gregorian dome of the Radiotelescope, our Solar System Ambassador was explaining to the students the importance of this Observatory as it is our defense to investigate dangerous asteroids that threaten Earth. In this illustration we see how it is demonstrating a series of photos captured by this radio telescope. The asteroid 2014 JO25 demonstrated and explained in an easy and entertaining language to the students.




La experiencia ofrecida hacia estos estudiantes es única ya que en todo momento quedaron maravillados con el estudio del cosmos en un lenguaje de facil entendimiento y sobretodo divertido.
The experience offered to these students is unique since at all times they marveled at the study of the cosmos in a language of easy understanding and above all fun.
Desde ese momento, nuestro Solar System Ambassador los proclamo a los estudiantes  investigadores cientificos aficionados y amantes del cosmos con el poder y la autoridad que le otorga el programa voluntario de los Solar System Ambasadors de la Jet Propulsion Laboratory de NASA
From that moment on, our solar system ambassador proclaimed to the student scientists and amateur scientists of the cosmos with the power and authority of the Solar System Ambasadors program of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory
